Mototeru Takagi brief history (略歴)

高木元輝(ts,ss,b-cl):1941年12月28日生まれ
横浜商業高校卒業。吉屋潤とクールキャッツ、チャーリー石黒と東京パンチョスなどを経て、69年に吉沢元治トリオに参加。
同年、富樫雅彦のグループに参加、次いで高柳昌行のグループに参加。日本のフリージャズ・シーンには欠かせない存在となる。
73年11月に渡仏。加古と出会い活動を共にする。74年11月に帰国後は間章(半夏舎)が企画したEEUに参加。
後に、翌76年9月と11月に録音の「Concrete Voices」(EEU)を発表する。
その後、スティーヴ・レイシー、ミルフォード・グレイヴス、デレク・ベイリー、小杉武久等多くのミュージシャンと共演。
代表作には富樫雅彦との69年12月録音の映画音楽「Isolation」(Columbia)、
翌70年のスイング・ジャーナル主催のコンサートから抜粋された高木・豊住デュオ「深海」を含む
「2 to 10 Saxophone Adventure」(Philips)、豊住・徳弘崇との75年7月録音の「Water Weed」(TRIO)、
同年9月の富樫雅彦カルテット「Story of Wind Behind Left」(Columbia)などがある。
2002年12月に死去するが、現在では国内外問わず再評価が高まっている。
